My Background
I’ve always been drawn to the way animals communicate, the honesty in their behaviour and the quiet peace they bring simply by being present. Over time, this fascination became something I wanted to bring directly into my practice: the idea that connection with an animal can open a door that words alone sometimes can’t. Trained across Europe and Canada, I’ve built a practice that weaves together animal-assisted therapy, sophrology, and systemic psychology.
How I Work
I offer animal-assisted therapy, working with a dog in individual sessions or with horses depending on what someone is working through. The presence of an animal can help build trust, safety, and a different kind of communication in the room.
Alongside this, I work with systemic analysis, which means I look at your experience not in isolation, but through the wider lens of the relationships, expectations, and social patterns (including discriminations) that shape it. Often what feels like a personal struggle is also a response to something structural, and naming that can be part of the healing itself.
I also practice sophrology, a gentle mind-body approach using breathing, relaxation, and visualisation to help calm the nervous system and build a felt sense of balance and learning how to return to a state of ease in your own body.
Animal Assisted Therapy
I bring an animal into our sessions alongside the therapeutic work itself, not as a substitute for what we’re doing together, but as part of it. There’s something about being with an animal that can lower the walls we put up without us even noticing. A dog’s calm, steady presence often helps people feel safe enough to open up in ways that can be hard to do sitting across from another person. With horses, it’s a little different; they’re remarkably attuned to body language and emotion, and they respond to what we’re actually feeling rather than what we say we’re feeling. That kind of honest feedback can be incredibly powerful.
I’ve found this way of working particularly helpful for people navigating anxiety, trauma, low self-esteem, or difficulty trusting others. Sometimes an animal can meet you in a place words haven’t quite reached yet.
Please contact me if you want to start therapy with a horse before booking.
